“Curiosity Killed the Cat” is an uncanny animation that explores irrational fear. The narrative follows a girl who is home alone when she hears a thud from upstairs. Her home begins to feel more unsettling as she falls prey to her overreactive imagination, which can only be appeased by finding the source of the noise.
This was my second time pitching a student short, where I got the chance to further my visual development and cinematography skills. As well as furthering my organisational and communication skills as I took on the role of director for the second time.
As this was a small group I had to become very adaptable taking on many roles including Visual Development, Story Artist, Rigging, Animating, Lighting, Cinematography, Directing and Editing.
